Advisory for seasonal diseases

Dear Parents
As you are aware that currently seasonal diseases are on rise due to the fluctuating weather conditions. Young children are very sensitive and susceptible to catch the infection of these contagious diseases very fast .
You are advised to be extra vigilant to detect the early symptoms of such diseases hence
In case you notice any of the symptoms mentioned below you are requested not to send your ward to school and are advised to consult the doctor and take necessary precautions promptly.

• Sneezing
• Blisters (on hands, face or feet)
• Running nose
• Cold & Cough
• Body ache
• Headache
• Nausea
• Rashes
• Fever

Few advisory points that may be helpful…

• Limit the amount of time you spend outside during the day, especially in the hours around dawn and dusk, when mosquitoes are most active.
• If you are going out during the day, ensure that you wear light-coloured clothes that cover the extremities of your body well.
• Always keep your trash cans and dustbins covered.
• Avoid visiting crowded places during these days.
• Pomegranate helps in increasing the blood count. Soups should be made a part of the routine diet, as they help detoxify the liver. Don't forget the fluids as they are the key to keeping the body hydrated for those down with fever. Keep some coconut water and fruits handy to keep dehydration in check.
• Seek early consultation if needed. Always see a doctor immediately if any of the symptoms are suspected & get the diagnosis done. Do not self-medicate, let the doctors do their work.

A few steps may go a long way in keeping the children healthy.
